The Chief E-Commerce and Retail Officer is responsible for leading all retail functions with an eye toward retail growth, innovation, and mission alignment. With e-commerce as the primary driver of revenue, this role will lead strategy and execution across digital platforms while using in-person retail as a testing ground for scalable solutions. From digital storefronts to boutique floors, the CERO will bring vision, drive sales, and invest their heart into this mission.
- Drive measurable growth across all retail sales channels, with a primary focus on e-commerce, by attracting new customers and deepening engagement with current ones
- Develop and execute customer acquisition, retention, and conversion strategies grounded in analytics, platform optimization, and data-informed storytelling
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from vendor partnerships and inventory planning to pricing and promotion, with an initial focus on moving existing inventory and later identifying future bestsellers
- Position the Grand Rapids boutique and live events as R&D labs to test products, spot trends, and inform scalable digital strategy
- Lead staff and systems to increase revenue, expand brand reach, and foster loyal customers who shop with purpose and advocate with influence
- E-commerce and Digital Strategy Acumen: Demonstrated success in online retail, including platform management, analytics, SEO, and customer acquisition strategies
- Online Retail and Product Experience: 7–10 years in e-commerce, retail merchandising, and/or product leadership, with a proven track record of increasing online sales
- Marketing and Sales Expertise: Experience leading or collaborating with marketing and communications teams to drive conversion and tell a compelling brand story
- Nonprofit or Mission-Driven Context: Prior experience in a faith-based nonprofit or social enterprise environment preferred, with deep alignment to the mission of serving vulnerable women
- Rooted in Faith and Aligned with the Mission: A practicing faith that shapes your leadership, character, and decision-making, and aligns with the mission and values of Women At Risk, International
