Sugar Creek Church (Missouri City Campus)
Missouri City, Texas
Why We Love This Opportunity
We are thrilled to once again partner with Sugar Creek Church for their Student Pastor role at the Missouri City Campus. Sugar Creek does ministry right, and they are looking for a highly relational pastor to partner with their stellar volunteers and student leaders to advance the student ministry in Missouri City.
About This Organization
After growing through small group gatherings, Sugar Creek Baptist Church began officially meeting for worship services in 1975. Over the next decade, the church grew to nearly 2000 people. Having gone through a Pastoral change with the founding Pastor’s retirement, the church continued to grow, and by 1994 they had moved into their new 3000 people Worship Center.
On October 13, 2002, Pastor Mark Hartman was called Senior Pastor. Pastor Hartman’s leadership has given Sugar Creek a renewed sense of purpose. The church has grown to four campuses as it strategically looks for more places for the Gospel to be proclaimed.
The Missouri City (MC) Campus is looking for a Student Pastor to join their 8-person campus staff who faithfully serve the individuals and families who call the Missouri City Campus home. The church is emerging from COVID-19, and attendance at the MC Campus hovers around 600 in weekly attendance (and about students in middle and high school).
We’re not looking for people to hire; we’re looking for leaders to empower!
At Sugar Creek, our vision for Student Ministry is to see students worship God, get connected, become empowered leaders, and share their story of life change!
We are currently looking for a talented Campus Student Pastor to grow with us. If you naturally connect with adult leaders and students and you’re passionate about influencing them in taking next steps in their faith journey, like beginning a relationship with Jesus, serving, inviting, giving, engaging in God’s Word, and leading, this could be the role for you.
We’ll get excited if you are:
- Experienced in developing and motivating adults and students to become leaders
- Awesome at communicating and relating to others, especially young people and their parents
You’ll be happy if you enjoy:
- Building a relational student ministry team
- Overseeing weekly student worship experiences for both MS and HS
- Being a team player who collaborates with all ministries during weekend experiences
We’ll give you a Top Gun high-five if you:
- Are highly competitive (9 square, gaga ball, and dodgeball are essential)
- Make us laugh (no pressure, comedy is not easy)
