Springs Community Church

Worship Director

New Braunfels,
Texas
The new Worship Pastor/Director at Springs Community Church will be the very first full-time person the church has ever had filling this role. Since the church was started 12 years ago, the worship leading roles have been filled by volunteers. Now, as the church sees more than 1000 people in worship each week, the new Worship Pastor/Director will have the opportunity to build on the existing team, recruit new volunteers, oversee the purchase/building of new A/V systems, and lead the team and church into the exciting days ahead.

Why I Love This Opportunity

Springs Community Church is a unique, out-of-the-box fellowship of believers that demonstrates raw, gritty, and real love for Jesus. For someone looking to do meaningful ministry and truly wants to witness real life change – this is the place for you.  Loving people well and being the hands and feet of Jesus is what these folks do best!

About This Organization

Springs Community Church began in 2012 when a group of families, passionate about prayer and authentic biblical community, gathered in homes with a desire to pursue Christ beyond just Sunday gatherings. Over months of study, prayer, and shared life, they committed to being the church every day of the week, forming a foundation rooted in Scripture, service, and intentional relationships. In October 2013, Springs Community Church officially launched as a non-denominational body of believers devoted to following Jesus fully. After four years of lay leadership, John Almquist became the first Lead Pastor in 2017, bringing new staff, expanded ministries, and a deepened focus on impacting New Braunfels with gospel-centered community.

Since 2017, Springs Community Church has continued to grow in both number and spiritual health, adding new ministries, additional staff, and a deeper pastoral presence. The church has become known throughout New Braunfels for its strong emphasis on authentic community, confession and repentance, and a culture of gospel-centered recovery.

Springs places a high value on culture—intentionally creating spaces marked by grace, truth, and vulnerability. The church has launched a wide range of ministries through the leadership of everyday members, reflecting its belief that discipleship and mission are the responsibility of the whole body, not just staff. There’s a strong desire for every person to be genuinely changed by God, rather than settling for cultural Christianity. The result is a community that is diverse in age, rich in relationships, and deeply committed to living out their faith in a way that impacts both their personal lives and the wider New Braunfels area.

Location

“As recent transplants from the Pacific Northwest with teens, we were stunned by the incredible community we found in New Braunfels and at the Springs. This area is filled with rich cultural history, delicious food, natural beauty,  kind, relational people and loads of fun! It’s a wonderful place to put down roots and raise a family.”
