Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all ministry programming for birth through 6th grade.
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders and teams.
- Partner with parents to equip them as the primary faith-shapers of their children.
- Create engaging large-group and small-group environments that point kids to Jesus.
- Ensure safe, consistent systems for check-in, security, and transitions.
- Work with church leadership to align children’s ministry with the overall mission and vision of Real Life.
- Steward budgets, resources, and environments with excellence.
Key Qualifications
- A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Proven experience leading in children’s or family ministry.
- Strong ability to recruit, equip, and develop volunteer leaders.
- Effective communicator with both children and adults.
- Alignment with Real Life’s beliefs, mission, and values.

With growth comes challenge – The next leader will need to:
- Move the ministry from staff-led to volunteer-led, building layers of leadership and ownership.
- Strengthen transitions between age groups (preschool → elementary → preteen → students) to help families stay engaged.
- Broaden the base of adult volunteers while still leveraging the energy of student leaders.
- Develop consistent, scalable systems for safety, communication, and parent engagement.
- Lead with vision in a church emerging from transition, ready for fresh direction and renewed momentum.
