About This Organization

Long Hollow Church is a church of about 6,500 people, which is growing with young families. Though Baptist in its roots, the make-up of Long Hollow is very diverse– from those formerly unchurched to people who were raised in virtually any denomination. Long Hollow is a place where the Gospel is preached weekly, and the work of the Spirit is transforming lives. The Lead Pastor, Robby Gallaty, is highly relational and a highly visionary leader. He is an excellent, passionate communicator. Today, Long Hollow is a church with purpose and vision marked by growth and momentum.

Position Description

The Executive Pastor of Operations & People Development will be responsible to the Lead Pastor and the Ministry Advisory Council for ensuring the health & integrity of all business-related operations and all strategic efforts to acquire, develop & maintain the absolute best Long Hollow Church team members. They will provide organizational-level leadership to the paths, projects & processes which move the mission forward in all relevant areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finances & Budgets – Oversee all strategies to develop and protect finances, budgets, donor development, etc.
  • Operations – Oversee all facilities, projects, and relevant ministries such as Legacy Park, Cafe, Food Ministries, etc.
  • Human Resources & People Development – Oversee all efforts to have the most healthy, highly-functioning staff & volunteer leadership across all church ministries.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution – Catalyze strategic planning conversations, provide clarity and metrics with regard to accomplishing all goals.

  • The ideal candidate will have a business mind and a shepherd’s heart. They must be marked by humility and servant leadership. They cannot thirst for the “lime-light.”
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing significant human & financial resources with the utmost integrity, preferably in a large church environment.
  • The ideal candidate will genuinely enjoy relationships & team-based ministry. Deep relational connections with the rest of the executive team must energize them.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and find ways to orient resources in a way that says “Yes” to the ministry vision.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for ministries that protect & restore the soul of Christians and Christian leaders.
