Christ's Church of the Valley
Why We Love This Opportunity
Christ’s Church of the Valley is seeking a Lead Pastor to join and lead a dynamic and healthy church. They have a strong desire and calling to impact the community, making themselves more visible and critical to the community for the cause of Christ.
About This Organization
CCV is non-denominational, and our mission is “To let God love us & love others through us.” It is a creative, welcoming, and serving church that depends upon the people that call CCV home to step up and serve like Jesus. Whether it is through Sunday services, family ministry, missions, or in the community, there is a place for everyone to engage in the church’s mission.
There is a deep desire to pursue Jesus and those who do not know Jesus. CCV wants to reach people far from God and lead them into a growing relationship with Him and authentic community with one another inspired by Gospel-centered teaching and genuine service to those in their community.
The church is ideally located in the growing area of Bakersfield, California. The new lead pastor must have experience in loving, reaching, and growing unchurched and committed people in a community that is “spiritual” but not necessarily receptive to the church or Christians.
Located a few hours from the beach and a few hours from the ski slopes … this is an ideal and economical location to do life and ministry and grow a family!
The Lead Pastor will lead the day-to-day operations of Christ’s Church of the Valley, Bakersfield.
The Elders will not instruct or evaluate the performance of those who report directly or indirectly to the Lead Pastor, independent of the Lead Pastor. As the Elders’ single official link to the staff and internal operations, the Lead Pastor’s performance will be considered synonymous with organizational performance.
