Position Description

This position will support the vision & mission of Journey by preparing and executing the technical production aspects of weekly rehearsals, services, and special events and managing the respective contractor and volunteer production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver all required media assets. (audio/video / graphic / web content)Prepare all production software and equipment for rehearsals and services. (lighting, audio, video, etc.)
  • Managing, training, and scheduling all production contractors and volunteers.
  • Oversee the execution of all rehearsals and service productions.
  • Staff manager of all SPD equipment & systems.
  • Front of House & BroadcastProduction RoomRack RoomAuditorium & StageSupport any new Install/Builds.
  • Stage DesignNew cable runsDistributed audio/video feeds.
  • Manage Sunday morning production team and participate as needed.
  • Media Director Responsibilities.
  • Provide support to ensure media is captured at every qualifying church event.
  • Develop and lead teams of media volunteers to assist in the capture, editing, and delivery of all media content.
  • Provide graphic and video content for weekly services, including lower thirds materials.
  • Delivering media assets to needed destinations within designated timeframes.
  • Contribute to the continued social media development of the organization.

What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like:

  • Written communication skills – compose and edit various communications clearly,
    professionally and in line with Journey’s voice/brand technology skills
  • Comfortable using a variety of software including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Youtube, etc.), Planning Center Online, Propresenter 7, Jands LightingHardware Skills
  • Proficient in using video and still cameras, studio lighting, Mac
    computers, video switchers, varied lighting & audio consoles
  • Organization and planning skills – embrace systems and processes for how / when to perform various tasks
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills – identify inefficiencies and make
    adjustments as needed in a dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire to learn and develop skill sets quickly as needs and standards change
