Flatirons Community Church
Why I Love This Opportunity
There is a great deal of hope and excitement about the future of Flatirons Community Church. The ministry is well resourced and has very healthy financial practices in place. There is a great opportunity to give clarity of purpose in the area of financial generosity. There is a VERY strong executive team leading a strong culture. The staff LOVES being there, and while challenging, it’s really a fun place to work. The church also has tremendous unrealized potential to fully develop a culture of radical generosity. The team needs a leader that can cast a vision for what a culture of generosity looks like and can build the strategy and inspire the team to make it happen.
About This Organization
Flatirons Community Church began in 1983. It is the 14th largest church in America and is the largest church in Colorado. After meeting in various locations for many years, they remodeled a huge retail space, transforming it into an amazing ministry facility. Over the last several years Flatirons has launched four additional campuses throughout the greater Denver area.
Flatirons Community Church is staff-led and elder protected. There is a great deal of trust in leadership – this has been earned and proven. Honest accountability is a defining reality for all on staff and in leadership. Overall leadership flows through a capable executive team, with a healthy culture of expectation management balanced with a results-oriented environment. There is a deep commitment to fully embrace and mutually live out the Flatirons staff values.
The Front Range is a great place to live and work. Boulder County is rated among the healthiest and happiest counties in the country.
At Flatirons Community Church, our mission is to bring the awesome life of Christ to people living in a lost and broken world. We do that by meeting people where they’re at by teaching in a raw and real style. We are a multi-site church whose passion is reaching people other churches have given up on.
When people give to Flatirons, they give through Flatirons to show God’s love in practical ways locally and globally, living out the Good News of Jesus and helping people take their next steps with Him. As the Generosity Pastor, you will develop systems and strategies to cultivate a growing culture of generosity. You’ll also provide training, development, and direction to Campus Pastors and other staff on better engaging with and cultivating the value of generosity and exploring and implementing stewardship education opportunities for attenders and small groups. You’ll get to use your analytical skills to use data extensively to help drive strategy. In addition, you’ll use your gifts of serving to engage with and serve our attendees.
