Fellowship Bible Church

Lead Pastor

Longview,

Texas

About This Organization

Fellowship Bible Church of Longview, Texas (“FBC”) began in 1981 as a group of three couples praying, meeting, and worshiping in a living room.   Though they soon outgrew the living room, the group carried with them into larger spaces the distinctive blend of expository Bible teaching, contemporary music, and fellowship characteristic of Bible churches.

For forty years, FBC has been reaching their community for Christ, seeing God provide favor in both growth and impact. They developed their current facility without incurring any existing debt and have been consistently passionate about utilizing all their human and financial resources to reach their community with the Gospel.

In 2016 a new Senior Pastor was called, and the prior Senior Pastor transitioned to Associate Pastor and then later retired in 2018 after more than 30 years of faithful service to FBC.  During the ensuing two years, the church faced various challenges, including the resignation of the Senior Pastor, other staff resignations, general uncertainty, and COVID.  These factors all led to attendance declining to the low 200s.   FBC then called an interim pastor in 2021 and has been guided along a path of healing, exciting new growth with attendance now averaging 400 in worship, and renewed focus on discipleship.  FBC is invigorated and ready to meet the person God is calling to lead it into the future.
