Mission, Vision, and Values
MISSION:
- Our mission is to equip a Christ-centered community that helps people far from God trust and follow Jesus.
WORSHIP:
- We worship extravagantly because it’s the realistic response to who Jesus is.
- We believe in spiritual power so we pray because it’s real.
- We believe in artful creativity because God is the original artist.
- We evaluate everything for continual improvement because Jesus is worthy of our passionate best.
LOVE:
- We do life in groups and teams because Jesus did.
- We believe every group and team should help people trust and follow Jesus because loving relationships are at the center of the Christ-centered worldview.
- We live with authentegrity because no one likes a phony, least of all Jesus.
- We develop leaders because Jesus poured his life into the few to impact the many.
COMPASSION:
- We believe in translating our faith to our culture because the message of Jesus should be accessible to everyone.
- We teach a Christ-centered worldview because the Christian faith is total truth not just “personal truth.”
- We don’t just build great churches, we build great cities locally and globally because city building is neighbor-loving.
- We believe people can bring their brain to church because the Christian faith is intellectually beautiful.
Staff Culture
Most of the staff have been at One lIfe for longer than 4 years, with many of them being there since the beginning of the church. They have a true family feel, which allows them to have fun, laugh a lot and grow together. There is a real sense of community that allows them to be open and honest with feedback and, in turn, grow because they are open to receiving feedback. The staff culture is built on delegation and trust. You are trusted to do your job and there is a desire for a great work/life balance.
