    Why We Love This Opportunity

The world doesn’t need more churches. It needs more life-giving, outward churches with a heart to reach and serve their community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is Epic Church in Buffalo, New York. God has been doing remarkable work in Buffalo through Epic Church since 2013 and they are just getting started. We’re excited to partner with Epic for this important Worship Pastor position.

    About This Organization

The story of Epic Church began in 2013. 50 people were a part of the launch team and 290 people attended the grand opening. Epic was a portable church for the first 6-7 years, meeting in movie theaters for worship services around Williamsville, NY. The church grew to about 500 people each Sunday in the movie theaters. In 2019, renovations began on a former Sears Auto Center which provided a more permanent space. As with most churches, Covid brought some challenging times, but God has been faithful and Epic Church is excited to move forward into the next level of growth and reaching people for Jesus.

Since the beginning, Epic Church’s vision has been to lead people to become all-in followers of Jesus and there have been so many stories of life change. The team culture has been built on the values of trust, teachability, excellence, enjoyable, and servant-leadership. The heart of it all has been to serve the community and reach new people with the message of Jesus.

    Position Description

The Worship Pastor at Epic Church will oversee both the worship and production departments at the church. The creative team is engaged and motivated to continue pressing on to what God has next for them as a team.

Here are the main priorities for this new leader:

    • Leading excellent, engaging worship
    • Developing musicians and singers
    • Fostering a healthy worship culture
    • Overseeing the production team/equipment

While a certain standard of excellence has been achieved, the team is excited about what’s next. Part of that will include deeper discipleship, growing in authenticity, and creating an engaging atmosphere for people to connect with God.
