The next Discipleship Pastor at Calvary will have the opportunity to lead a disciple-making movement within our church. Giving leadership to our weekly Life Groups, our men’s & women’s ministries, and our marriage ministry, the Discipleship Pastor will play a vital role in our church’s ability to carry out our mission – to lead every person to become a fully devoted follower of Christ.
Established in 1921, Calvary Baptist Church is a multi-generational church in central Louisiana that is known for uplifting worship services, excellent children’s and student ministries, and being a care community of believers. Our mission is to lead every person to become a fully devoted follower of Christ. We believe a fully devoted follower of Christ possesses 4 traits: biblically rooted believer, deeply connected friend, missions minded servant, and faithful disciple maker. All that we do as a church is focused on producing these traits in others.
The Discipleship Pastor will be primarily responsible for overseeing the Adult Discipleship ministries and implementing the Discipleship Pathway across all ministries. The Discipleship Pastor will also give leadership and supervision to the Adult Ministry Team.
