Chapelhill Kids Director - Douglasville
Why We Love This Opportunity
A truly multi-ethnic church isn’t easy to find. Yet, Chapelhill Church has grown into this reality over the past 20 years. Its four locations across Atlanta, and its online experience, point people to Christ and equip them for life that matters. Slingshot Group is pumped to partner with such a remarkable team as they infuse their children’s ministry with the right leader for long into the future.
About This Organization
In 2001, God birthed an incredibly fast-growing ministry through founding pastor Dave Divine, his wife Cindy, and a core of Spirit-led pioneers that wanted to see everyone experience the life-changing message and ministry of Jesus Christ. Today, Chapelhill Church engages over 3,500 people each week across four locations – Douglasville, Bremen, Atlanta, Dunwoody – and its online Worship Experience. It’s impossible to pinpoint everything that makes Chapelhill Church remarkable, but one obvious trait is its visible diversity and unity. It’s beautiful to experience a church that truly reflects the surrounding community, a ministry where people of all ethnicities and histories are welcome, loved, involved, and celebrated.
You know you’re family at Chapelhill Church from the moment you walk in. The warm hospitality, passionate worship, down-to-earth teaching, genuine community, and invitation to serve all weave together in a way that draws you in and sends you out. It’s clear that everything Chapelhill is about centers on growing in relationship with Jesus Christ. Like most churches, the pandemic has impacted in-person engagement at Chapelhill, but there’s a resurgence happening, which means more kids and families will be reached.
The Douglasville Location at Chapelhill Church is on the hunt to call its next Chapelhill Kids Director. They have a solid foundation of 200 kids participating each weekend, and a dynamic team of 80+ volunteer leaders serving throughout the month. They need a highly creative, relational leader-of-leaders to build teams and take Chapelhill Kids into new territory in this uncharted ministry season.
Chapelhill Kids needs a leader-of-leaders that is daring enough to dream, humble enough to listen, bold enough to speak up, relatable enough to follow, and tenacious enough to finish what their team starts. To take things to the next level, the Chapelhill Kids Director – Douglasville will need to assess current roles and create new opportunities for people to serve and build a coaching structure to provide oversight and care. They also need to be a pacesetter for the other Chapelhill locations as they establish strategic, sustainable, and scalable ministry models that grow Chapelhill’s children’s ministry capacity.
