Black Rock Church

Community & Support Groups Director

Fairfield,

Connecticut

Why I Love This Opportunity

Keith Twigg

Senior Associate

It is so rare to find a church like Black Rock in the northeast in general and the NYC outskirts specifically! Black Rock has an almost 200-year history of faithfully reaching their local community and beyond, and now, in the post-Christian society that surrounds them, they continue to make strides for the Gospel!

About This Organization

Black Rock Church is a nondenominational church located in Fairfield, Connecticut. They were established in 1849 (not a typo) by just a few faithful Christ-followers and have now grown to thousands of adults and children who attend their services each weekend. Black Rock is unique in the Northeast as a large, welcoming, attractional church with excellent programs for all ages.

Senior Pastor, Steve Treash, has been a fixture at Black Rock since he was in high school and joined the pastoral staff in 1986. He has been the Senior Pastor and primary communicator since 1997, and the church has grown roughly three times under his leadership. A wise leader, he delegates much of the day-to-day to his executive team, including Josh Feay, who provides executive oversight of the various ministry areas. The church and leadership are in a very healthy place, and they are excited to welcome this new member to the team.

Black Rock is passionate about seeing people find and grow in community. Their current teams and groups in this area are healthy and thriving, and the person who is hired for this role will be inheriting a winner and will have the responsibility to take things deeper and wider. It’s an exciting time to join the Black Rock team!
