Worship Pastor

Tobyhanna,

Pennsylvania

Church or Org Description *
Since its founding in 2003, Community Church of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania has been a place where people feel known and loved. Launched by David and Bekah Crosby with just a handful of folks, Community now sees 2,000 every weekend and is in the midst of a new season of vision and growth.

Community is unique. While many churches say they are diverse, Community Church actually is. Located ninety miles west of New York, it is an eclectic mix of commuters and blue-collar workers in the region.

To say that Community Church is outward focused would be an understatement. “We’ll do anything short of sin to reach people far from God,” says pastor David. “We have to connect with the unchurched audience who are in attendance. Our people bring unchurched friends every weekend.”

It’s this energy that keeps Community moving forward.

Position Description *
The church recently had a short stay by a worship pastor and is in need of an organized leader who can bring team unity and cohesiveness to the week to week planning and execution of weekend services.

There is a Communications Director and Tech Director who report to the worship pastor.

The right candidate will be a quick processor and capable of making executive decisions about the vision and direction of the worship ministry. The church is in a season of growth, with plans to launch a campus in the next year and has many moving pieces and parts. It’s exciting, but the new worship pastor must be able to move quickly.

“Worship and weekend services are life-giving, they’re relevant and they connect,” says David. “Our prayer is that whatever you are going through today, whatever trials you are facing, whatever needs you have, we want you to know that God loves you. He has a plan and a purpose for your life. We are here to help you get to know Jesus and to walk with Him.”
