|Jacob’s Well is a growing church of approximately 2,000 people on a weekend with over 5000 people who attend over the course of 4-6 weeks. The church is about an hour and a half east of Minneapolis in the town of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. It is attracting young families in the region and reaching people other churches don’t reach.
In 2000, Paul Berthiaume and his family, along with two other families, moved to Eau Claire with the intent to plant a church. Jacob’s Well had its beginning as a small group of five families assembling in Paul’s living room. After six months of meeting together—studying, praying, and working to develop the group had grown to forty-two adults.
That growth and emphasis on the Gospel shaping all aspects of their lives continue almost twenty years later.
Last summer Jacob’s Well constructed a new 700 seat auditorium and converted its existing space into children’s space and a second venue with a simulcast message and live worship. The expansion allows the church to host up to 1600 children and adults over the five-weekend services.

|“No matter where you are on your journey, when you join us on the weekend we think you will find Jacob’s Well a real and inviting place to worship,” says Pastor Paul. The dress is casual, the music contemporary, and the message is applicable to everyday life. Each venue does the same playlist of three to four worship songs with a creative element (video/other).
The ministry has been led for the last year and a half by Grant Shultz who was a transitional leader who has led the team to greater health and synergy.
