Church Description
Big Valley Grace Community Church is a Christ-centered, non-denominational, Bible-based church of people from all over the greater Stanislaus County area of California. They are a thriving multigenerational family of believers who gather to follow the way of Jesus together and impact their “big valley” for Christ.
Founded under the name Greenwood Grace Brethren Church, their very first worship service was held on January 23, 1966. Through many years of devoted prayer, service, and God’s faithfulness, Big Valley Grace has grown to more than 4,000 church attendees and a Christian school with more than 800 students (preschool through 12th grade).
Position Description
The Worship Ministry at Big Valley Grace Community Church is a very visible and influential ministry of the church. Many at BVG recall their initial response to God beginning with the music they encountered after coming to a worship gathering. BVG is seeking to fill the position of Worship Pastor with a passionate and dynamic leader with advanced worship leading abilities, a strong theological understanding, a shepherd’s heart, and the desire and dedication for equipping people for ministry. The right fit is a gifted vocalist and preferably leads from an instrument. They have the musical knowledge and ability to attract other high-level musicians and produce musical excellence in the team. On the platform, they have an energizing and inspiring leadership style. They are passionate in their expression of worship and model what they want to see in the congregation.
This position will report directly to the Pastor of Worship & Production and will provide leadership over all worship related ministries which includes 100+ volunteers spread across multiple campuses and gatherings.
