Why We Love This Opportunity
God is at work at Valley Point Church in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. With a vision to point people to real relationships and real significance, ValleyPoint is unified and excited for the future.
Church Description
ValleyPoint Church began in October 1971 when a small group of people who had a vision for reaching Delaware County with the truth of Jesus started a new church. From the beginning, ValleyPoint has focused on reaching those who do not know God personally and building relationships that bring hope. The life-giving message of the Gospel, the passion and joy of Sunday gatherings, and the simple style of ValleyPoint Church brought growth through the years. ValleyPoint Church moved into their brand new facility in December 2017.
Generosity describes ValleyPoint. There is a collective passion for generously providing compassion efforts locally and globally. There is a high level of volunteer involvement and a desire for leadership opportunities. There is a growing response toward worship in the Sunday gathering. At the speed of real relationships, the strategy at ValleyPoint is to accelerate into the surrounding communities, one after another, and surprise them with the real truth of Jesus and the joyous impact of His church.
Position Description
The new Worship Pastor at ValleyPoint Church is stepping into a strong team with a healthy culture of preparation, excellence, and passion. But they are excited to partner with a new leader to move forward into all that God has in 2021 and beyond. The staff at ValleyPoint is looking for a Worship Pastor who is relational and loves people. A big component of this role is working with volunteers, developing leaders, and equipping others for ministry. A positive, collaborative, team-player is needed to complement this hard-working, mission-driven staff.
While ValleyPoint is a modern church with a modern style, there is a high value to pursue greater touches of the ancient. This is reflected in moments of prayer, liturgy, Scripture reading, and reflection. It’s important for this Worship Pastor to keep a pulse on what is new, but also respect the ancient practices that have defined Christian worship for centuries.
