Foothills Bible Church’s mission is to help people become faithful followers of Jesus Christ. For almost 50 years, it has faithfully been advancing the Gospel with strong Biblical teaching. Two years ago, the church launched a new vision, ‘Everyone’s welcome because nobody’s perfect and God has big plans for your life’. This has had two profound effects on our church community. First, new people who normally felt they were not welcome at church, have heard the message and are coming and growing in Christ. Second, the church body has been radically changed. They are now more focused locally than ever to actively pray for and love their neighbors.
The church campus is on 27 acres in the Denver metro suburb of Littleton. The ministry in this community is predominant to middle to upper-middle-income families. With more than 80% of adults participating in Growth Groups (G2s), FBC has a vibrant multi-generational approach with an emphasis on families that is evident in growing kids and student programs, along with a pre-school and kindergarten that operates during the week.
FBC is focused on sound biblical teaching and Christ-exalting worship. The Sunday morning experience is the main entry point for people to invite non-believers, as well as believing friends and neighbors. The worship style is modern, with an appreciation for historical elements that make sense in modern styled service.
The worship team has seen growth and change over the last three years. New volunteers have brought excitement. An acoustic service has been added. There are approximately fifty volunteers currently serving in the worship and media ministries.
The right person for this job is a leader in all facets of life.
Leader of Leaders – The ideal candidate will possess the maturity and leadership credibility to lead other leaders: FT Media Director, Worship Leader, Video Coordinator, and PT student intern/resident; PT administrative support.
Collaborative leader – The ideal candidate will thrive in a working partnership with the Lead Pastor. Humility and strength of character will be required to tap into relational chemistry that yields spirit-led unity.
Creative Leadership – The ideal candidate will balance innovative creativity with dearly loved traditions at FBC.
Pastoral Leadership – The ideal candidate loves people and shepherds them. While this is demonstrated weekly from the platform, a heart for people will be demonstrated throughout the week.
Platform Leadership – The ideal candidate will possess an engaging presence from the platform. Worshipping God through singing should be passionate, loud, heartfelt, and exciting. The ideal candidate will model this personally, lead the worship team to possess it, and inspire the congregation to practice it.
