Church Description *

Five Oaks Church is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. The church of about 1000-1100 in weekly attendance is located approximately twenty minutes east of St. Paul in Woodbury, MN. Five Oaks Church has a great reputation in both the faith and unchurched populations. A recent study predicts that more than 20,000 additional residents are expected within a three mile radius of the church in the near future (rapid growth). This presents a wonderful opportunity for the gospel to be spread through Five Oaks Church!

Henry Williams leads a gifted and humble leadership team at Five Oaks Church. The leadership culture at Five Oaks is marked by character, laughter, authenticity and a desire to do all with excellence. The staff is collaborative in nature as team members speak into each others ministry in a way that enhances and fine-tunes.

Position Description *
Five Oaks Church is seeking a Student Pastor who wants to build upon a solid foundation build around relationships. The ministry is part of the Family and Discipleship ministry of the church. They are looking for a forward-thinking visionary who wants to push student ministry to the next level.

Student Pastor Profile:
-Growing relationship with Jesus
-Bachelor’s degree and proven leadership experience (3+ years of primary lead)
-Adherence to the EFCA statement of faith and vision of Five Oaks
-Effective and proven teacher of God’s Word
-Empower leadership

Desired Characteristics & Abilities:
-Be an effective teacher of God’s Word
-Recruit and shepherd additional volunteer team members
-Create a discipleship model that both draws in those from the outside and multiplies disciple makers
-Integrate the student ministry into the greater body of Five Oaks
-Creativity with programming (age-appropriate programming)
-Integration with family– desires to partner with parents
-Team player and highly collaborative
-High capacity with strong work-ethic
-Competent in administration
-Relational leader— seeks to model and multiply relational availability (campus ministry, sporting events, music performance, etc. attendance)
