Student Pastor

Lean in and make a difference in Washington D.C.! Come be a part of a team seeking relationships in the community, and using creative ways to connect with and bring people to Jesus. They are looking for a teammate to join a church of professionals, artists, educators, engineers, students and more, who are often frustrated or disappointed by experiences with religion, but think the person and teachings of Jesus are beautiful and inviting. The result is a church inspired to dream about what church should be.

Church Description

Dulles Community Church is 21 years old. The Lead Pastor, Brad Russell, started the church along with his wife and several friends. The church was and is passionately focused on reaching unchurched and irreligious people in the Washington Dulles community (south of Dulles Int’l Airport, 25 miles west of DC). This church is willing to be creative and use its resources to connect with and build relationship with the people around. Their outreach is more than a specific invitation to come to church. It is an invitation into relationship where the Gospel is shared and people’s expectations are challenged.

Dulles Church enjoys a strong relationship with North Point Community Church in Atlanta. It is one of the 100 North Point Partner churches in U.S. The staff at DCC are regularly encouraged and supported by the North Point Partners team, and the person joining this team can expect the same connection to the student ministry team at North Point.

Position Description

  • Create an irresistible church for irreligious students in our community.
  • Support our Lead Pastor in growing a church of authentic trust and unity; a church unchurched people love to attend and where they want to grow in their experience and closeness to Jesus.
