Student Pastor
Keystone Fellowship - Skippack

Skippack, Pennsylvania

Roughly 60% of establishing a healthy student ministry at Keystone Fellowship – Skippack will involve rallying and releasing longstanding teams of passionate, spiritually gifted, trained, equipped leaders. As is true in most churches, this will be an uphill climb for awhile. However, in time, compelling vision and meaningful ministry will reinforce servanthood at Skippack as a way of life. Ultimately, by living out Ephesians 4:11-13, the Student Pastor will maximize reach and impact in the lives of teens, families, and leaders. Rather than fill volunteer slots, Skippack wants to bring on a magnetic, relational, strategic, mobilizer of sustainable teams. Like the rest of the church, the student ministry will thrive as it exudes positivity and grit—an “all in” posture—toward whatever God’s Spirit asks for the sake of Christ, teens and families.

Church Description

Keystone Fellowship – Skippack is an authentic, energizing, Spirit-guided community and ministry that draws in, serves, and sends out people from all walks of life. This site originated as a missional, geographical expression of Keystone Fellowship, a four-campus church of 2000+ near Philadelphia. In 2010, a 75-person core from a few local community groups shifted from meeting in a home to kick off Keystone’s first regional site. Under the leadership of campus pastor Joe Snyder and his team, God has since grown the church to 525+ people across three Sunday services. Keystone Fellowship – Skippack’s ministry to kids and families is and has always been a huge draw. Approximately 25% of attendees are children (birth through 5th grade), while the student ministry (6th through 12th grade) continues to fluctuate between 5-10% of the congregation. In this season, Keystone is building up Skippack’s Next Gen team by bringing on two key pastors in children’s and student ministries. They need a dynamic, team building Student Pastor who will keep catalyzing outreach and discipleship with middle and high school students in Skippack Township and beyond!

Position Description

Keystone Fellowship has always placed a high value on strategically connecting with teenagers as central to its disciple-making mission. Skippack’s student ministries has lost momentum over the past four to five years. While a core of 6-12th graders and leaders still engage, Keystone Students is not living up to its potential.

The next Student Pastor at Skippack will need to reengage with Keystone’s central Student Ministry leadership to foster missional alignment at all campuses. This developing leader will work closely with his/her Campus Pastor, as well as the Next Gen Pastor and Central Student Pastor, to ensure that Keystone Centers of Influence standards are prioritized, put in place, and kept on pace. This includes, but is not limited to student ministry programming, on/off-campus community building (i.e. outreach, small groups, etc.), volunteer engagement, and local/regional Keystone events. The worship, teaching, and small groups are compelling, relevant, and power-packed in ways that truly transform lives. Still, innovation is needed to speak to the heart and needs of the surrounding teen community. Skippack’s ready to bring on a Student Pastor that’s dialed into the culture, a relationally gifted leader, and a remarkable advocate for addressing what teens face day in and day out.
