|Willow Creek Wheaton was the first launch congregation for Willow Creek in 2002. Located in DuPage County, the heart of the western suburbs of Chicago, Willow Creek Wheaton has a unique ministry to the ‘unchurched and the de-churched’. This multi-generational middle-class congregation is intelligent and invested, there are lots of families and they are also 16% racially diverse with an average weekend attendance of around 1300.
Worship services are world-class in their commitment to excellence and dedication to creativity.
This church loves their students and desires a STRONG student pastor to join their team, one who can help them deepen their overall experience as they continue to extend dignity, offer hope and provide a path to a transformed life in Jesus Christ to all students who come in contact with the ministry of Willow Creek Wheaton.

|Position Description *|
|The Student Ministries Pastor will serve as the leader and pastor of the student ministries. He or she will be responsible for the overall success of both of the (two) middle school services and high school service. They will be the primary teacher and vision caster of the ministry and be responsible for shepherding the students. For the right candidate, they may be part of the pastoral leadership team, they will oversee student ministries staff, and be responsible for developing key volunteers and leaders in the ministry and working with parents to lead students into a deeper level of devotion to Christ. This person needs to have the spiritual gifts of leadership, preaching, and shepherding.
The Student Ministries Pastor needs to have the spiritual maturity to be seen as a strong Christian leader who models the Christian walk makes decisions based on biblical principles, and who can work through conflict.
