Stone Hill Church
Church or Org Description * Stone Hill Church of Princeton was founded as Westerly Road Church in 1956. Westerly Road was envisioned to be an inter-denominational, independent, gospel-centered church reaching the Princeton area. Having outgrown its facilities on Westerly Road, in 2013 the church built and relocated to a new facility three miles away on the north side of Princeton, renaming itself Stone Hill Church. The church continues to thrive as a gospel centered community intent on reaching the distinctive and diverse culture of Princeton and the surrounding area. Today approximately 550 people attend SHC each weekend; over 900 people call Stone Hill their church home. The church is known for its biblical preaching, its congregational diversity, and its commitment to supporting great commission work both locally and internationally.
Stone Hill reflects the diversity of New Jersey and particularly the diversity of the town of Princeton and its surrounding areas. Its congregants come from a wide range of economic, ethnic, and national backgrounds. Some of the strengths of our area culture include a commitment to excellence, particularly to high-quality education and deep engagement with both arts and culture as well as appreciation for scientific rigor and deliberative thought.
