Senior Associate Pastor
Whitewater Crossing Christian Church
Why We Love This Opportunity *
Whitewater Crossing Christian Church is a healthy church, with a motivated staff and a humble, confident Senior Minister. Their outward-focused DNA has resulted in dozens of healthy ministries actively reaching their community for Christ. Now they are seeking to bring on a leader to succeed the Senior Minister, an amazing opportunity for an emerging leader to join a high-performing, high fun team. The elder board has structured ministry there for success!
Church or Org Description *
Whitewater Crossing Christian Church– an outward focused church of nearly 2000 attenders and a $3.3 million annual budget– is looking for a successor for Senior Minister David Vaughan. Whitewater Crossing Christian Church, with her 100 year storied past, remains historically connected to the Restoration Movement based on Jesus Christ and Word of God. After all these years, their mission remains the same “to help people find hope in Jesus and a home in His local church” and they are sharing that hope in fresh and exciting ways every week. The current church took shape in 2002, when the congregation hired David Vaughan as the new Senior Minister. He led the church to purchase an available 74-acre piece of land on the west side of Cincinnati in Whitewater Township, and changed the name of the church to Whitewater Crossing Christian Church. A Grand Opening of their new building was held on the first Sunday of December, 2007 with over 1,000 people in attendance. Since that time, a phase 2 facility was built at a cost of $13.5 million, more than doubling the square feet of adult ministry and tripling the square feet of children’s ministry.
