Why We Love This Opportunity
The vision of Covenant Church is to build a community to reach the community. Covenant Church is committed to being missional, relevant, accessible, relational and transformational. Covenant Church strives to be a place known for what they’re for instead of what they’re against, a safe place for people to explore and discover the greatness of God.
Covenant Church is located in the town of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, about an hour from downtown Philadelphia. Since moving into their new facilities nine years ago, God has caused the church to triple in size so they just completed a 34k square foot building project to handle this growth.
Covenant Church is strategically positioned and poised to continue reaching their community as they become a leading church in the region. Covenant Church’s current facility is a destination campus, drawing hundreds of families from across the Central Bucks area. Their expansive growth in recent years has completely changed Covenant Church’s culture and ethos. They are now a multi-generational church with a healthy mix of baby boomers, young families, and young professionals. Nearly 35% of those now attending have come to Covenant Church within the past three years.
Covenant Church just moved into their expanded facilities, which more than doubled their space. They’re now looking for an Adult Ministries Pastor to be an integral part of what God has planned and purposed for Covenant.
The Adult Ministries Pastor, under the direction of the Executive Pastor and in cooperation with the Adult Min. Staff, that you would oversee, would be responsible for the overall health and vitality of adult ministries at Covenant.
- Champion, plan and implement structures and strategies that help accomplish the vision and mission of Community and Care Groups.
- Oversee recruitment and training for all group leaders (apprentices, leaders and coaches). Ensure they are encouraged, equipped, cared for and supported.
- Collaborate and communicate with staff so all adult ministries are “in sync” with the vision and values of the church and the church calendar.
- Be “the buck stops here” point for complex and difficult small group issues.
