Parkview Community Church
Why We Love This Opportunity *
We’re honored to partner with Parkview in this search for an executive-level leader in the role of Executive Pastor/Director of Operations. Not to be mistaken with an “admin” role only, the Executive Pastor/Director of Operations will have a mind for building ministry systems, and especially gifted in leadership development and Christian growth/formation. There is a creative element to this role as well, in particular with forming excellent strategies for internal communications.
Church Description *
Parkview Community Church is serious when they say that they love people. There is a sense throughout the leadership of the church that the “value of the individual” is very important to them. Rather than focusing on crowds, they are focused on each soul. As such, the values of emotional health and personal balance ring throughout the staff. Parkview has formed their staff and teams around 10 leadership values: Dependence (on God), Team (health), Flexibility, Generosity, Leadership Development, Being (not Doing), Growth, Honesty, Loyalty, and Excellence. There is tangible priority given to balance, health, Sabbath, and a sense of mutual respect and submission to one another.

Position Description *
As Parkview Community heads into the future, the Executive Pastor/Director of Operations will have opportunity to help lead the way into the next season of growth and expansion. The church is ripe for the development of leaders and the formation of Christian believers into spiritual maturity. This role will lead the way in building the systems for such impact. As the church is blazing the trail into deeper missional territory, this new leader will be part of making it possible for life transformation to happen in families of under-resourced communities in the Glen Ellyn area. Yes, this is a church focused on life change within its own walls, but the purpose is to bring that same impact beyond to those without a relationship with Jesus in the community.
The Executive Pastor/Director of Operations is responsible for all aspects of ensuring the church is operationally strong through leadership and coordination of all church operations activities from weekend service preparation and logistics through ongoing care and maintenance of facilities and grounds. This includes overall “operational readiness” as it pertains to church-wide volunteer coordination, operational infrastructure development, facilities program management, supply replenishment, information technology programs and support, security, and operational oversight of the church’s strategic plan.
