Why We Love This Opportunity
This is an incredible opportunity to join a high-capacity team at a growing church while making a huge contribution to the kids and young families at Scottsdale Bible Church. This position is at the main campus of this 4-campus multi-site church and will join a healthy team of people already serving hundreds of kids in the Phoenix Valley. This position will build and care for a team of volunteers that love and serve the youngest children in the church.
Church or Org Description
SBC has a terrific combination of traditional values with a modern and engaging approach to ministry. Scottsdale Bible Church has a deep commitment to engaging Bible teaching, and the staff culture reflects that value in terms of education and passion for the Word of God. At the same time, their heart for the lost and desire to be a welcoming environment to all is truly felt in every interaction on campus.
The kid’s team is healthy and grows with support from a veteran central team. Because of God’s faithfulness, Scottsdale Bible Church has launched three other campuses to expand its Kingdom impact across the Phoenix Valley. The Shea campus is the original SBC site and is home to most roughly 7,500 people in attendance on the weekend.
There is a healthy and thriving Kids team at the Shea Campus, and this role will take on the leadership of the Nursery (newborn-toddlers). There is already a solid core of volunteers serving in this ministry, and the new Nursery Director will continue to grow that team. They will also maintain top-of-the-line safety protocols to ensure kids are protected and families are confident their children are safe.
SBC is looking for candidates with a solid Biblical foundation, excellent organizational skills, and a self-starting team builder ready to dig in and grow an already healthy team of volunteers caring for kids and families at the Shea Campus. They are also looking for:
A proven ability to cast vision, build teams and execute ministry.
High levels of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
A teachable spirit and a desire to grow in the SBC ministry.
A heart for service and a desire to show up for people where they are.
