|As a beacon of hope for Dallas and the world and with over 12,000 members, First Dallas’s influence and reach grows every day. The church is considered to be influential among evangelical Christians in the United States. It owns and operates an International Broadcast Ministry – Pathway to Victory; a school – First Baptist Academy; a radio station – First Dallas Media, Inc.; and supports Dallas Life, a mission for the homeless in Downtown Dallas. Senior Pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress, recently led the congregation in a $135 million campaign to re-create its downtown campus. The project is the largest in modern church history and serves as a “spiritual oasis” covering six blocks of downtown Dallas.

|Each weekend, about 4000 people gather for worship in three services featuring two different expressions. Reporting directly to the Music and Worship Minister, the Music & Worship Associate will have responsibilities in three primary areas: Student Choir/Worship; Creative Production; Arranging/Orchestrating (optional, but preferred). The student choir at First Dallas currently involves about 100 students and is active for 20 weeks out of the year. Each season culminates with a domestic or international mission/concert tour. A new recording project is produced and made available each year featuring that season’s musical selections. The new hire will be responsible to cast vision for and manage all details related to the student choir program and also lead worship for the Sunday morning student gatherings.
The Music & Worship Associate will work with other worship staff to assist in creative planning for all worship services and events. This person should contribute creative ideas related to production, worship sets, music and other aesthetics and be knowledgeable of current worship trends and songs. It is also desired that the new hire have arranging skills and would be given significant opportunity to arrange and orchestrate for the choir and orchestra programs at First Dallas.
