Hillside Church of Marin is a great church located in Marin County, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Over the past few years God has been leading Hillside to find better ways to love, serve, and reach the different communities in Marin County. Recently God has opened a door for Hillside to explore a new approach to reaching Marin County by adopting and relaunching a church in Lucas Valley, a community in San Rafael, CA. Hillside wants to see a vital church in the heart of Lucas Valley and to learn what it would take to help churches around the county find new life and mission. Hillside is looking for someone to come be a part of this strategy and launch Lucas Valley location.
The dream of Hillside is to see Marin county cease to be one of the “least churched places in America,” by renewing historic centers of worship spread throughout different communities like Lucas Valley.

The Hillside strategy: to create environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue intimacy with God, grow in community, and invest in others.
Position Description *
Hillside Church of Marin is looking for someone to help write a new chapter in a decades long history of robust, outward focused ministry in one of the most secular places in the United States.
The Lucas Valley Campus Pastor will function as the primary leader for the Lucas Valley location, offering leadership to the congregation by equipping the congregation to do the work of discipleship, care, and mission. The Campus Pastor will also play a key role in helping Hillside develop and implement a contextually relevant, community focused, multi-site strategy.
-Equip the congregation to do the work of discipleship, care, and mission.
-Teach live at Lucas Valley most Sundays.
-Work with the Lead Pastor to develop sermon series and shared outlines that teach the truths of scripture in a compelling and relevant manner in a postmodern and post-Christian context.
-Provide supervision and support to the other location staff
-Recruit, develop and release volunteers into ministry.
-Manage the day-to-day operations of the location in cooperation with the administrative and financial team.
