Located in the growing bedroom community of Germantown Hills, Great Oaks Community Church is a church with a history of consistent growth and great potential for the future. Great Oaks Community Church had its first service on Easter Sunday of 1997 and moved into its first permanent facility in 2006. The attractive facility is located in a highly visible location next door to Germantown Hills Schools. 

Contemporary style worship and messages with practical application, strong children’s and youth ministries are all helping impact the families that live in the surrounding area. Great Oaks is a church that encourages people to take their next step towards God.

Position Description 

The Lead Pastor will primarily lead the charge in helping Great Oaks take our next steps as we minister to our community and the world. He will join a seasoned senior staff of 3 other Pastors, the Senior Staff is responsible for the day to day ministry and operations of Great Oaks. The Senior Staff along with the Leadership Team, foresee a great future.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide visionary, strategic, collaborative leadership.

2. Lead the teaching team and be the primary communicator.

3. Maintain a vibrant personal walk with Christ.

4. Collaborate with and lead the team in developing a dynamic worship environment.

5. Instill high regard for church culture and vision.

6. Take a pro-active approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.

7. Be present and known in the local community.

8 Ensure budget aligns with GOCC ministry goals.
