Why We Love This Opportunity
This Bent Tree opportunity is truly unique as it will invite a new lead pastor to join and lead a passionate, dynamic, and gifted staff as well as a hungry and ready to learn and grow congregation!
Church or Org Description
The Bent Tree team believes that the best years are still to come and there is a compelling vision and dream for the church.
By the Spirit’s power, Bent Tree will continue to “be the Church.”
The church believes that this will result in Bent Tree:
Pursuing the Community
In the next five years, we believe our primary source of church growth will be the direct result of our body compassionately and intentionally reaching people who need Jesus. Specifically, we are asking the Lord to provide 500 new “Names on the Wall,” representing those who have trusted in Jesus through the people of Bent Tree.
Reflecting the Community
In the next five years, we envision Bent Tree reflecting the growing diversity of our community racially, socio-economically, generationally and culturally so that our congregation will be a welcoming home for people of all ages, races, and ethnicities.
Transforming the Community
In the next five years, we believe Jesus will use Bent Tree as a catalyst to bring significant change to pressing needs and issues in the community such as human trafficking, homelessness, and food insecurity.
The Lead Pastor’s main responsibility is to serve the Body of Christ through preaching, leading, and shepherding of the church family and community.
The Lead Pastor will serve a critical role in Bent Tree’s leadership (as staff and elder) and will serve as leader and mentor to Bent Tree staff.
The Lead Pastor is a resident expert on Bent Tree’s vision, values, and distinctives, and passionately promotes their full implementation and application.
