Twin City Bible Church
|Why We Love This Opportunity *|
|TCBC’s compelling mission of “campus and community transformed by Christ to renew the world” is lived out visibly and tangibly every day as they live and do ministry right across the street from the University of Illinois. With their church facility nestled in amongst fraternity and sorority houses and with a rich history of effectively reaching both the campus next to them and the community around them, TCBC has a history and a future that is absolutely invigorating for the next level leader!
Over 10,000 international students call U of I home and Sundays at TCBC look like a meeting of the nations! Don’t be surprised to worship in Mandarin as community members from all walks of life and college students from all corners of the world join together to lift high the name of Jesus. This is a very special opportunity.
|Church Description *|
|Twin City Bible Church began in 1933, during the depth of the Great Depression, when four families gathered with a vision to reach University of Illinois students with the message of Jesus Christ. Since then, the church they founded has remained committed to that vision of this campus and community being brought together in Christ to make a difference for God’s kingdom throughout the world. Located on the eastern edge of the campus, Twin City Bible Church is a beautiful mix of men & women, boys & girls who are united together in their common mission, which has not changed since 1933.
Twin City Bible Church has a heritage of impacting college students not just during their season at U of I, but even more, many of the current leaders and even former lead pastors all share stories of how TCBC changed their lives and ministries. This church celebrates a beautiful diversity of ethnicity, education, personality and gifts and many other things and the right lead pastor will resonate deeply with both the beauty and the challenges presented by this reality!
