The value of team-based ministry is central to the heart of Keystone Fellowship near Philadelphia. The hard-working core of leaders at Skippack love to roll up their sleeves and rub shoulders with people from the community. This approach pours into the way the staff and volunteer leadership comes together for key initiatives, building projects, special events, and church-wide campaigns. Like the rest of the church, the children’s ministry will thrive as it exudes positivity and grit—an “all in” posture—toward whatever God’s Spirit asks for the sake of Christ, kids and families. More than creating an attractive “come and see” ministry, Keystone wants to maximize its central gatherings so people can grow and go out changed in ways that affect others in the way of Christ. This is why their next Kids Pastor needs to be a relentless team builder that equips and empowers kids, families, and leaders.
Church Description *
Keystone Fellowship – Skippack is an authentic, energizing, Spirit-guided community and ministry that draws in, serves, and sends out people from all walks of life. This site originated as a missional, geographical expression of Keystone Fellowship, a four-campus church of 2000+ near Philadelphia. In 2010, a 75-person core from a few local community groups shifted from meeting in a home to kick off Keystone’s first regional site. Under the leadership of campus pastor Joe Snyder and his team, God has since grown the church to 400 people across three Sunday services. Keystone Fellowship – Skippack’s ministry to kids and families is and has always been a huge draw. Approximately 30% of attendees are children (birth to 5th grade), so there’s a pressing need to bring on a dynamic, team building Kids Pastor to keep catalyzing outreach and discipleship with young families in the area.
Position Description *
Keystone Fellowship is committed to kids and families at all of its campuses. While most Keystone ministries focus on bringing Christ and community into the world, Keystone Kids is one key initiative that can’t help but attract the world onto their church campuses. The next Kids Pastor at Skippack will need to re-engage with the church’s central Kids Ministry leadership to foster missional alignment at all campuses. This developing leader will work closely with his/her Campus Pastor, as well as the Next Gen Pastor, to ensure that Keystone Centers of Influence standards are prioritized, put in place, and kept on pace. This includes, but is not limited to, children’s ministry programming and curriculum, security standards, volunteer engagement, and local/regional Keystone events. Ultimately, by living out Ephesians 4:11-13, the Kids Pastor will maximize reach and impact in the lives of kids and families. Keystone Fellowship – Skippack is committed to bringing on a magnetic, relational, strategic, mobilizer of sustainable teams.
