The people who gather at North Central Church of Christ are kind and family-focused. Yet they are also very much wanting to be led into a season where they reach people; those who are seeking direction in their faith and those committed to growing deeper and wider as a church community. NC3 seeks to be a church where one can Grow and Live their faith by connecting, serving, giving and growing! North Central Church is a place where they seek for all members to feel valued, needed, productive, and full of joy. NC3 is a church with a lot of tradition. They want to honor that tradition but not live in it.
When you drive up to the NC3 campus it feels like you are still part of the enormous, state-of-the-art and very vibrant Indiana University campus. The NC3 campus is located adjacent to the IU campus, the football and basketball stadiums. This creates a unique visibility that must be second to none in the city of Bloomington! North Central Church of Christ is located in Bloomington, Indiana. This city is alive and growing in almost every aspect.
We see a bright and unlimited future for North Central Church of Christ to be a great church in an already existing great location. The new Growth and Preaching Minister will help create the processes and systems which will grow NC3 from 200 to 300 and 400 in weekend attendance. This is going to require a leader with some fresh vision and experience to lead people towards accomplishing that vision. The person seeking this role should have a minister’s heart. The Growth and Preaching Minister should be excited and able to stand on a stage and preach and lead, also willing to be involved and share in the other ministry initiatives at North Central. The leadership of North Central Church of Christ is excited and optimistic about the future. They believe the best days are yet to come at NC3!
At least 5 years of ministerial experience preferred, preferably in a senior or executive decision-making staff role, with oversight of teams and credible leadership skills. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree preferably from an accredited Christian University; and or grad level courses from a Theological Seminary.
