Bayview Glen Church, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a rapidly growing community of nearly 1,300 adults gathering at two services per weekend. They are intent on reaching the diverse population of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with the love of Christ and then discipling them into mature followers of Christ. Bayview has been blessed with exponential growth, having nearly tripled in attendance in just over six years time.
Bayview Glen is a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Canada and is rooted in a rich, Christ-honoring history. Pastors like Dr. A.W. Tozer and Dr. Ken Oppermann served this church faithfully during those early years. In 2018, Bayview Glen Church celebrated 40 years of productive ministry at their current location. Bayview Glen maintains a strong commitment to biblical preaching, community service, international missions, and personal evangelism. And with over 100 nationalities represented on any given Sunday morning, the congregation reflects the diversity that has come to define the GTA.
Position Description *
Bayview Glen is seeking an executive pastor that will help them reach their vision. When you spend just a few minutes with any of the staff team it is apparent they love each other and know how to have a good time. Bayview Glen is a place for a Executive Pastor to try new things and change old things. There is support from Senior Leadership to go, create and execute a comprehensive ministry strategy.
The Executive Pastor partners with the Lead Pastor to establish, communicate, and implement the Church’s ministry, vision/mission, strategies, and goals. The Executive Pastor runs and provides general management of day-to-day church operations including the facilitation of strategic planning, implementation of key initiatives, direction of human resources and information systems, provision of healthy/sustainable finances, and coordination of facility use. The Executive Pastor also assures the execution of effective and sustainable weekend ministry.
A Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in larger congregations is preferred.
