There are so many reasons to love the Elementary Pastor opportunity and the team at BattleCreek Church! These guys and gals are passionate about reaching “All people. All ages. All the time.” With dynamic worship, solid Bible-based teaching and a thriving kid’s ministry, they are living on mission. The Tulsa metro is a great place to live, raise a family and do ministry. Be part of what God is doing in and through this remarkable team!
Years ago, Dr. Alex Himaya shared his vision for a new church—one that would breathe new life into the meaning of faith and service. He said, “What Tulsa does need is a safe environment where the unchurched can come and hear the life-changing truth that Jesus Christ cares for them and died for their sin.” This moment of revelation marked the beginning of BattleCreek Church, which officially opened its doors on August 14, 2003.
BattleCreek Church now is reaching over 5000 souls a weekend, has five locations, established global mission teams, and inspired a movement passionately cultivated by followers across Tulsa, America, and the world. While the growth of the church is a blessing, the lasting impact and true success is measured by something far greater: changed lives. The church strives to glorify God by helping all people advance in their journey with Christ.
The Broken Arrow location has over 2800 attending weekly, and they continue to look for ways to expand their reach. They are a “Grace Place” but stay true to what they believe Scripture teaches about how we are to live out our lives as Christians. It’s a modern expression of worship with Southern Baptist roots.
BattleCreek Church is seeking a passionate Jesus-follower who loves seeing kids come to a true understanding of Jesus, their value, and what faith in Jesus is all about. The right candidate is experienced, energetic, high capacity, and naturally gifted to lead.
The Elementary Director will:
— Lead and oversee the BattleCreek Kids elementary ministry, Kindergarten through 5th grade at the Broken Arrow campus, which impacts nearly 400 kids each week.
— Direct the elementary team through the selection of staff, their development and the management of their activities and responsibilities.
— Lead three full-time team members and one part-time as they pour themselves into their areas and collaborate to facilitate an effective elementary ministry.
— Build and run a dynamic program that attracts both the churched and the un-churched.
— Grow the ministry.
— Communicate effectively in person, from stage, and through intentional sharing of information with the team, volunteers and parents.
— Be creative, organized, and able to multi-task and thrive in a deadline intensive and results-driven environment.
— Prioritize his or her walk with the Lord, seeking to constantly grow in their faith.
