Why We Love This Opportunity
Free Wheelchair Mission believes in a world where everyone who needs a wheelchair has one. In the last 20 years, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed over 1.2 million wheelchairs in 94 countries.
Free Wheelchair Mission is entering a season of great opportunity through growth and innovation. The new Director of Manufacturing will help to set the tone for how manufacturing and engineering are approached for years to come, and will build a legacy to take the organization into the future.
Free Wheelchair Mission is a humanitarian, faith-based, nonprofit organization founded by Don Schoendorfer, in 2001 in Orange County, California.
With an estimated 75 million people around the world today in need of a wheelchair, the vast majority of whom cannot get one on their own, Free Wheelchair Mission continues their mission to provide mobility to people living with disabilities in developing countries.
The Director of Manufacturing is a new position created out of the need for more structured leadership and processes within the innovative work of the team.

The Director of Manufacturing would have a key part in mobilizing and shaping the path moving forward.
