Director of Children’s Ministry

Beaver Falls,

Pennsylvania

Pathway Church is a dynamic community of believers who are making a mark for the kingdom! The energy and excitement of what God is doing is palpable.

Church Description

Known for their passion for the community, excellence in programming, and welcoming environments, Pathway Church sees lives changed every weekend as people come to Christ and hear relevant biblical teaching. The amazing team of staff and volunteers work diligently to meet the needs of those around them, whether in the community or beyond. At nearly 45-years-old, the church is well-respected in its region and has grown to an average weekly attendance of 1500 people.

In November 2017, the church opened its 24,000 square-foot children’s building, including an indoor playland that serves outside guests six days-a-week. The children’s ministries now reach 300+ kids during worship services, and again on Wednesdays through its robust Awana program, but there’s still plenty of room to grow. Pathway’s longstanding pastoral staff team seeks to add a Director of Children’s Ministries who is a strong relational, team building, leader-of-leaders that’s 100% dedicated to reaching and discipling kids/families for Christ.

Position Description

Pathway Kids provides a welcoming, creative, energetic environment for over 300 children and their families every week. This includes the ministries for all ages (infant – 5th grade) that happen during worship services on Thursdays and Sundays, as well as on Wednesdays during Awana. The children’s ministry staff do a fantastic job leading a team of 250 volunteers and keeping Pathway Kids running smoothly. It’s a fun, safe space for kids to grow in relationship with God, His Word, and Christ-centered community.

It takes a ton of devoted people to pull off Pathway Kids week-in and week-out. There’s a solid foundation of 250 volunteers, but there’s plenty of room to grow in number of kids and leaders. The next Director of Children’s Ministries needs to take the team-building baton from the former Pathway Kids Director and run with it in fresh ways. Knowing there are lots of moving parts each weekend and throughout the week, Pathway needs a children’s minister that can envision and establish strong sustainable teams of leaders that love God, kids/families, and serving people who don’t know Christ yet.
