Why We Love This Opportunity
Skyline Church is committed to living out the Great Commission in a unified way, helping others find and follow Jesus seven days a week. The leadership team strives to clearly communicate their vision, mission, values, and core identities to ensure that all ministries function collaboratively, on mission and in unity.
The Creative Arts Pastor will be a significant contributor to the vision and identity of Skyline to be a model church in serving, caring, loving and reaching their community in producing Champions for Christ.
Skyline exists to help people find and follow Jesus seven days a week. This is the “why” of what they do. They are convinced that every person needs to know the grace and power of having an authentic, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Founded in 1954, Skyline has been known as a highly influential church under the leadership of Dr John Maxwell and Dr Jim Garlow. In November 2018, Dr Jeremy McGarity became the new lead pastor of Skyline and God is leading this church into a whole new level of missional leadership and impact! Skyline is a church that is full of young families, focused on community and pointing others towards Jesus.
The leadership team at Skyline is made up of top notch leaders who are bought into the vision and values which define their ideals and help them measure their effectiveness in mission. Skyline believes that God has supernaturally and strategically placed people in everyone’s sphere of influence and he wants to use each of us to reach them. It’s with this posture of serving others that Skyline is laying hold of it’s most influential days of ministry and service.
Skyline is currently leaning into a season of renewed momentum, mission and identity. The Creative Arts Pastor will play a significant role in this story. Skyline desires a high level of musicality in someone who can lead the congregation with vocal and instrumental excellence, a strong platform presence, a yieldedness to the Holy Spirit and a genuine heart for facilitating environments where the worship of Jesus is at the center as people respond to Him.
Pastor Jeremy and the leadership team are looking for a person who is prepared, aware of God-moments, and able to flow with a sense of spiritual authority and sensitivity to the Spirit of God. The right leader will be confident and organized enough to give leadership away to others, delegate responsibilities, and release people to serve.
The Creative Arts Pastor must have proven experience building teams and developing systems for growth. The right person will have proven experience within the context of a multisite church as a Worship Pastor or Creative Leader. They will lead the technical staff towards higher levels of production effectiveness by creating irresistible creative worship environments. They will value excellence leading their team with an evangelistic heart for the lost.
