They are contemporary in style, conservative in theology, and passionate in their pursuit of multiplying God’s Church to reach as many people as possible before Christ returns.
They are committed to their God-given vision to establish 10 Great Oaks campuses in 10 years (2028). Their second campus will launch in Washington, IL in the fall of 2019.
Position Description *
The Connections Pastor will lead guests to a genuine sense of belonging, involvement, and spiritual growth at Great Oaks Community Church by meeting people where they are and leading them through next steps.
The role of the Connections Pastor at Great Oaks Community Church is multifaceted and vital to the life of the church. The Connections Pastor is to oversee the connection and spiritual growth strategy of Great Oaks Community Church under the direction and leadership of the Lead Pastor.
This role will oversee teams of volunteers to accomplish first impressions, visitor follow-up, Core Classes, Life Groups, and community engagement. Though these systems are in place, the new leader will need to create improvements and develop the multi-site strategy to accomplish the 10 in 10 vision.
