New Providence Presbyterian Church

Communications Director
New Providence Presbyterian Church

New Providence, New Jersey
New Providence Presbyterian Church is currently experiencing revitalization and renewal under Senior Pastor Jeff Ebert’s leadership. NPPC has recently gone through an organization-wide rebrand in an effort to communicate a unified message to the congregation and broader community. Other efforts to refine and improve their communication strategy have been undertaken in recent days as they continue to explore new and innovative opportunities for Kingdom impact, taking new risks to contextualize the gospel and better leverage its influence.

Leadership at NPCC recognizes the need for a new Communications Director to empower a more structured communications team. This will allow NPPC to communicate the church’s mission, key priorities and messages in a coordinated and compelling manner with the full congregation and community.

Church Description *

New Providence Presbyterian Church (NPPC) has a long history and rich tradition, that predates the Revolutionary War and after 280+ years, NPPC still serves as the cornerstone of life in New Providence, New Jersey.

The 225th anniversary of NPPC was marked by celebration and major physical changes. In the 1980’s the sanctuary was rebuilt along with an addition of multi-purpose rooms and a gymnasium.

By 2010, NPPC had outgrown their facility in New Providence. In a bold step, they prayerfully decided to spread out and launch a campus in Garwood that would service the Westfield, Rahway, Fanwood and Scotch Plains area. This campus, New Community Church (NCC), is a video venue with live worship, classes, and programs. They currently meet on Sunday at 9:30 at The Westwood in Garwood.

In July of 2015, the congregation voted to be dismissed from their affiliation with the PC USA, who granted them a gracious dismissal and were welcomed into ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Christians.

God has richly blessed NPPC through the years with gifted pastors, a faithful congregation and many opportunities to serve locally and globally. Today, NPPC is experiencing growth and new levels of impact in their community and abroad.
