About This Organization

Founded in 2005 by lead pastor Erik Lawson, what began with 29 people has grown to a church of over 3,200 with 450 kids in 3 locations. Element is known within the community as a dynamic, large church with relevant preaching, excellent worship, and a caring congregation that impacts the surrounding communities with God’s love.

Position Description

The Children’s Pastor will oversee the children’s ministry at all Element campuses and serve as the point person for the children’s ministry at the original and largest campus in Wentzville.
Element needs a strong team builder who can recruit and develop a team. The Children’s Pastor must be someone who can lead leaders—both staff and volunteers.
Element wants to break new ground in the creative expression of its kids’ ministry, both in person and digitally. The Children’s Pastor will consistently evaluate methods and implement thoughtful, growth-oriented ideas.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate, clarify, and align the vision of Element Kids with the church.
  • Effectively cast vision to garner the support of volunteers and the congregation.
  • Oversee Volunteer recruitment and development, both spiritual and skill-based.
  • Continually lead and develop the Kids’ staff.
  • Develop and execute intentional kids’ experiences so that kids can engage at every stage of development and spiritual formation from birth to 5th grade.
  • Create and maintain a budget plan for the ministry.
  • Create and execute a parent engagement strategy to assist parents in discipling their kids.
  • Create opportunities for children to be involved in ministry and leadership development.
