Skyline Church has been investing in the San Diego community since 1954. They are now one church in multiple locations. The mission of Skyline Church is “we exist to help people find and follow Jesus seven days a week”. The core values that allow them to measure their effectiveness in pointing others to a life-changing relationship with Jesus: found people find people; growing people change; you can’t outgive God; you’ll never walk alone; saved people serve people.

A state of the art facility, located in La Mesa, the Rancho San Diego campus of Skyline Church is the church home for 2800+ community members. The church is full of young families and Skyline is focused on its community. The San Diego area boasts a diverse array of activities and attractions, including beautiful beaches, historic parks, museums, and art galleries. The warm and moderate climate makes all these opportunities possible nearly year-round.

Position Description

The Children’s Pastor will oversee the growth of a vital and vibrant kids ministry – in the curriculum, in volunteer recruitment and retention, and in casting vision for the future. Skyline Church desires the Children’s Pastor to dream big, creatively expanding this ministry through gratitude, commitment, strong work ethic, accountability, trust, and love.

The Children’s Pastor will develop the values of Skyline Church in their personal life and create a professional environment that permeates these values: Found People Find People; Growing People Change; You Can’t Outgive God; You’ll Never Walk Alone; and Served People Serve People. The Children’s Pastor will invest in the unique relationships God places around them and will also cultivate a strong professional network of volunteers and staff within the children’s ministry. They will lead their dedicated team with humility and grace, recruit high-level leaders, and encourage passion and excitement for the ministry.
