Pastor of Family Ministries

Why We Love This Opportunity

Victory Church has experienced a lot of growth in recent years which is a reflection of the church’s commitment to the Great Commission, an openness to the Spirit’s leading, and their desire to be transformational in their local community and around the world. Senior Pastor Matt Ware is passionate about helping people experience the fullness of the Gospel and the presence of the Spirit. This is evident in truth based teaching with an opportunity to respond in Spirit-led worship and also in their missional focus and alignment of resources both locally and globally.

Church Description

In the Summer of 1986, founding Pastors Mike & Jeanne Ware moved from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Colorado with a vision to plant a church in the Denver area. Within two years, they outgrew the space they were renting from a local community college. After moving a couple of times over the next 15 years, a significant milestone was reached in the fall of 2001 as construction began on Victory Church’s current property at 117th and Sheridan Blvd.

In March of 2014, a historic transition took place as Pastor Mike Ware passed the Senior Pastor leadership baton to his son Pastor Matt Ware. From day one, their passionate vision to reach the world became a catalyst for growth that has continually propelled them forward for the past 30+ years. From their humble beginnings with a big vision, today Victory Church is a thriving multi-generational, multi-ethnic family of believers, ministering to thousands of people here and around the world. God has faithfully blessed Victory Church over the past 30 years in innumerable ways.
