Central Kids Leader

Menlo Park,

California

Menlo Church has a highly creative opportunity to lead other campus leaders with influence and care for kids and families.

Church Description

Menlo Church has a dynamic presence in the San Francisco Bay Area and has for over 100 years. It’s a vibrant, growing congregation of 5,500 across six local campuses. In an area where many are highly educated, unchurched (95-97% avoid “religion”), and opportunities for every walk of life and interest abound, Menlo Church is remaining distinct but keeping pace with its surrounding culture for the sake of Christ. To help this happen, the staff culture at Menlo Church across all campuses seeks to be humble, hopeful, and gritty. The leadership has worked hard to bring on healthy, self-aware, relationally-rooted followers of Jesus who will model grace and truth as they lead. As with all churches across the nation, Menlo Church had to close its doors over one year ago. They are thrilled to be re-opening in person on June 6, 2021 with the kids ministries targeted to open in July.

Position Description

The Central Kids Team provides alignment to all Menlo Kids campuses and is led by the Central Kids Leader. True to Menlo Church’s innovative spirit, the Central Kids Team keeps pioneering centralized approaches to create and support programming, administration, supplies, and special needs. Each Menlo Kids Campus Director reports to their Campus Pastor and has a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Central Kids Leader. The Central Kids Leader needs to point their campus directors to Jesus in word and deed while strategically guiding ministry with kids and families toward a grander Christ-centered vision. Central Kids Leader will have the unique opportunity to create content and resources to span the various campuses.

They will need to have skills in listening, collaborating and guiding a diverse team toward unified implementation. The next leader should be energetic, enthusiastic and aware in presenting new ideas or vision, so the leadership at each campus can fully be on board and share the enthusiasm with their individual congregations.
