Central Children’s Director

Lake Worth,

Journey Church is vibrant, unique, energetic and passionate in everything they do. Journey is driven by an urgency and vision to reach the lost and it is evident in every experience and ministry. Creativity and innovation are abundant and a culture of out-of-the-box thinking is refreshing at Journey. Journey’s style is casual and they want people to experience God’s grace and love in every encounter. Journey holds a good tension between production excellence and authentic worship.

Church Description

Journey has a passion and vision for the city of Lake Worth/West Palm Beach and the communities surrounding it. There is a committed core of volunteers and leaders who get that Journey is about transforming lives. Teaching is biblical, relational and relevant. At Journey, there is an obvious desire to settle for nothing less than authentic, theologically sound, and Christ-honoring worship while making a missional impact on the community.

Current average overall attendance is around 2,200 adults and 800+ kids and students. The Lake Worth Campus runs around 2,000 people and the Boynton/Delray Beach Campus has an average weekend attendance of around 1,000 people. As a whole, Journey is healthy and excited about the future, yet internally they’re in need of some structural and organizational change.

Fourteen years ago, Journey Church started with humble beginnings. Journey launched with 16 people meeting in a home with a passion to help others connect with God and see lives transformed. That small group’s love for God and others was so contagious that Journey has grown to 3,000+ people. The mission of Journey Church over the years has not changed: transforming lives!
