Jim Schmidt


Jim Schmidt has almost 40 years experience as a worship leader, conductor, and producer of every kind of musical expression. Also a highly acclaimed tenor soloist, Jim traveled to more than 70 countries with The Continentals, and produced more than 30 albums in at least a dozen languages.

He was Assistant Director of Worship at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA, and produced the very first worship venues there with Pastors Rick Warren and Rick Muchow. He is passionate about coaching worship leaders to lead from a place of authenticity.

Jim also has over three decades of experience in movie-making as a writer, actor (don’t fault him for SuperChristian), and now award-winning Producer on numerous mainstream feature films – most recently ‘Trade of Innocents’,  starring Dermot Mulroney and Academy Award® winner Mira Sorvino, which was recognized by the White House Faith Office, the State Dept, the Dept of Justice and the FBI for its excellence and impact in dramatizing the global tragedy of human trafficking.

Jim and his wife, Karen, live in Southern California, have been married for 28 years, and have three adult children.
