Dunwoody United Methodist Church
The team at Dunwoody UMC is a dynamic Christian community of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Dunwoody UMC started over one hundred years ago out of a Sunday School Class. From this Sunday School grew a vision for a new church in the community. The church started with 31 charter members and grew with the community. By the late 1930s, plans were underway to build a new church building.
Through the years an ecumenical spirit has been evidenced by hosting and/or participating in services with other congregations as a house of worship, including Jewish and Catholic congregations. Youth activities have continued to be given strong emphasis through the United Methodist Youth Fellowship and the Chapel (youth) Choir. This passion for reaching the local community continues to this day. Dunwoody UMC is known in the community as a place to belong and grow. Today over four thousand people call Dunwoody UMC their church home!
