Christ Community Church
|Church Description *|
|In 2014, this church began with a mission to love God, love others, and make disciples. Since, Christ Community Church has become known for solid Biblical teaching and a hunger to make an impact in their community, the greater Little Rock area and the world. Not program driven, they choose to do a few things and do them well while not wearing people out in the process. CCC is developing a culture where people are valued, voices are heard, excellence is pursued with passion, and God remains as the source and object of their love.
Those at Christ Community Church enjoy a deep sense of community and a family that cares for one another. Each weekend, over 500 people gather in two worship services. The music and programming is identical in each service and includes mainstream worship repertoire along with the occasional hymn. Instrumentation includes guitars, bass, drums, and keys along with a few vocalists. The philosophy of worship is one that is God-honoring (in theology and practice), pursues excellence, invites congregational participation, deflects attention away from the stage, allows for creativity, and embraces the challenges of multi-generational worship. They value authenticity and simplicity above a showiness and production.
|Position Description *|
|Christ Community Church wants to hire a Worship Pastor who is called to give their life away for the Gospel and is passionate about using their time, talents, and treasures for God. They are not interested in a person just looking for a job. Rather, they want someone who feels called to the work of ministry and called to the ministry of Christ Community Church.
The new Worship Pastor will oversee all aspects of the worship ministry, including vocal, instrumental and technical teams. This person should be a builder, recruiter and developer of others, looking to expand the team and add depth in the varying positions. Much potential for growth exists here and there is much opportunity to develop and shape the ongoing culture of worship. The qualified candidate should have the ability to connect with people, both from on and off the platform. This person should be magnetic, authentic and relational with the worship team and with those in the congregation, seeking to engage with people of differing ages and stages of life. Not simply a musician, this person should have the heart of a pastor and worshipper who invites others into worship.
